This water filter as a straw is a great design. It came with a nice case to keep it clean and is good quality. I bought this is a backup water filter because it has no moving parts. It came in handy several times when you just need a quick drink. A Great product!

With all the storms and such it's better to be safe than sorry. One can go a long time without food but not water. I don't use them everyday, have a counter filter for that. But we do keep one in every car.

This product mimics the "life straw", is shipped by Amazon w/Interspective as seen in the picture. It comes with absolutely no information on how to assemble safely, how to care for the filter or the lifetime expectancy, warranty or performance. There is no way to know whether this filter system will work in relatively clean situations in the US or can equal in performance the many filters being used in developing countries. With absolutely no information on its performance, I would be hesitant to use this unit on any source other than treated municipal tap water as a taste enhancer if that.
