Purchased this item a few months after I had gotten my tank. In just the month since I purchased this machine the fish, corals and invertebrates in my tank seem healthier and happier. The unit itself puts out ample clean water and in around an hour I have the 5-7 gallons I need to do my weekly water change for my 60 gallon tank.

Setup was a breeze and the unit is small enough to allow me to store it under my stationary tub when it's not in use.

5.0 out of 5 stars No Pump, December 27, 2011

I have this RO filter and it works great. It should be noted that the picture (which has actually since been updated) showed, and the description mentions (still does), a pump which this unit DOES NOT have. Amazon, as always, was outstanding in their customer service when I called to advise of the lack of pump as described/pictured. They actually sent me a new one (actually OVERNIGHTED it to me!) and said "if new one still doesn't meet your expectations, we'll issue a refund". I LOVE Amazon!!! The new one arrived (which I promptly returned unopened) also with no pump. Further investigation revealed that Aqueon does make a model with a pump but the one for sale on Amazon is NOT that model. The one with the pump regularly sells at various web sites for $250 and up while this model (76002 I believe?) also regularly sells at various web sites for anywhere from $10-$80 more than what Amazon sells it for. Since the pump-less model is working fine for my needs and due to the fact... Read more

Looking back this might be the best 150 bucks I have spent on my 135g saltwater setup since purchasing the protein skimmer...

Yes this thing is a tad cheap, lot of plastic etc. The hose adapter is horrible. Use a 3 dollar real metal one from Home Depot or Lowes, which most of us should have anyway. But for the money it works as intended. Simply plug and play. :D

Produces roughly 2.3+- gallons an hour. It fills my 5 gallon water bottles in about 2.5 hours.

Fresh RO water in my 135 without going back and forth to the fish store, I could not be more happier!
